PURPOSE:To manufacture an Al alloy having superior strength at high temp., superior heat resistance and wear resistance by mixing Al alloy powder formed by quenching with heat-resistant particles and by working the mixture by die pressing, hot forging, hot pressing, cold hydrostatic pressing, hot extrusion or other method. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy contg. 5-30% Si, 0-5% Cu and 0-2% Mg or an Al alloy contg. 2-12% Fe and 0-7% one or more among Co, Ni, Cr, Mn, Ce, Ti, Zr, Mo, etc. is melted, and the molten alloy is quenched at 10<2> deg.C/sec cooling rate to form powder of <=60mesh. To 99.5-80vol% of the Al alloy powder or a mixture of Al powder with mother alloy powder are added 0.5-20vol% heatresistant particles of carbon, oxide, nitride, carbide or the like, and they are mixed. This powdery mixture is worked by die pressing, hot forging, hot pressing, cold hydrostatic pressing hot extrusion or other method to manufacture a heat-and wear-resistant Al alloy reinformed with dispersed particles. The alloy has superior strength at high temp.
