PURPOSE:To increase the take-up angle and to improve the threading efficiency, by using a cocoon-separator composed of a conical part attached to the top of a cylinder furnished with the outlets of the reeling water around the cylinder and placing the separator under the threading pipe in the reeling tank. CONSTITUTION:The cocoon-separator 17 is placed under the threading pipe in the reeling tank 1 and is positioned at the center of the reeling cocoons collected under the threading pipe. The cocoons are dispersed also by the hot water discharged from the reeling water outlet 18. The diameter of the circle formed by the reeling cocoons floating on the reeling water is increased, and the threading efficiency of the reeling thread and the end thread of the new cocoon transported by the cocoon broom 53 can be improved.
