PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an output parameter to discriminate defined character attributes only at a glance of the parameter by defining character attributes of an output object character string in accordance with character attributes of the output parameter itself. CONSTITUTION:The first interpreting part 21 interprets character attributes of the output parameter itself on a basis of the output parameter inputted from a KB/CRT14. The second interpreting part 22 interprets definition contents concerning the output object character string on a basis of contents of the output parameter. An output part 23 is provided with an output format converting function. The output part 23 takes out a corresponding output object character string from an external storage device 11 as a character string storage means on a basis of the interpreted result of the second interpreting part 22 and outputs it to a printer 15 so that character attributes of the output object character string accord with the interpreted result of the first interpreting part 21.
