PURPOSE:An electrically conductive material, consisting of a fluoride oxide of a specific composition, and having a high ionic electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive material expressed by the formula (a is 2.18-9.82, preferably 4-8; b is 2.l8-9.82, preferably 4-8; c is 12-29.45, preferably 18-24; d is 3.25-12, preferably 6-9; a+b is 12; c+d is 36). The above- mentioned electrically conductive material is produced by pulverizing and mixing given amounts of neodymium fluoride with samarium oxide (or neodymium oxide with samarium fluoride), and firing the resultant mixture at about 1,200- 1,400 deg.C for about 2-6hr in an inert gas atmosphere.
