PURPOSE:To prevent a cylindrical material from deforming into a convex-barrel shape in working a small-diameter cylindrical body by preventing also the deformation of an upper roll and working the material by separating it into each semicircular part in working a sheet material into a cylindrical shape by press-holding it between rotating upper and lower rolls. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material B is bent by press-holding it between an upper roll 1 and a lower roll 2 of urethane roll whose central part is supported by auxiliary rolls 4, 4. Here, the material B is worked while pressing downward the central part of roll 1 by the lower surface of a supporting plate 14, which is provided to the lower ends of supporting rods 13 extending downward from a supporting beam 11 which is installed above the roll 1 and is connected to a machine body. After working first a semicircular part of product by rotating the roll 1 in one direction, the working is once stopped and a contacting force between the rolls 1, 2 is reduced or released to move the unworked end of sheet material B to the position between both rolls 1, 2 as shown by the figure. Next, the roll 1 is reversely rotated after press-holding the material B between both rolls 1, 2 to work the other semicircular part. Thus, the material B is worked without being disturbed by the sheet 14 because the working is separately performed in such a manner. |
