PURPOSE:The titled ring, prepared by supergrinding the surface of a sintered ring in contact with a traveler, capable of recovering the clogging in pores of the sintered material, and having improved shape and dimensional accuracy without trouble, broken yarns, etc. in the initial starting. CONSTITUTION:A sintered ring for spinning machines prepared by supergrinding the surfaces of the head top 4, inner drum 5 and/or bottom end 6 to be in contact with a traveler of the sintered ring consisting of a sintered material obtained by pressing a powder, e.g. reduced iron powder, into a cylindrical shape, and sintering the resultant cylindrical material, by the pressure vibration in the upward and downward directions of the ring with an ultrafine abrasive grindstone of a superfinishing machine to give a planished surface having <=1mu plane accuracy of the ground surfaces between pores 7 and 7 in the surface of the ring. EFFECT:Stable running of the traveler is made. |
