PURPOSE:To improve close adherence of a grinding belt by providing a magnet on the rear surface of the belt to bring the belt into contact with the surface of a press roll through attractive force thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a body frame 3 is moved to abut pinch rolls 6, 6 around which a belt 7 is trained against the surface of a press roll 1, a magnet 9 on the rear surface of the belt 7 attracts the press roll 1. Thus constructed, the belt 7 located between the magnet 9 and the press roll 1 comes into contact with the surface of the press roll 1 in a closely adhered condition. Grinding in this condition assures uniform grinding accuracy. |
