PURPOSE:To obtain a burner excellent in flame spreading and combustion leaving the heating power to a low calorific value, by a method wherein a continuous slot separated from a mixing chamber is set as part of a main burner unit and a small burner is set inside the continuous slot and is separated from the flame slot of the main burner and the separating partition part is put back inside other flame slots. CONSTITUTION:A burner cap 8 has a tooth-formed flame slot but the portion corresponding to a small burner 6 is separated from the flame slot of a main burner, and the partition part 10 separated from the main burner is put back inside other flame slots. The gas jetted from a nozzle 5 is mixed with air absorbed through a mixing pipe 2 and is fed to a mixing chamber 3 and combustion flame is formed by the outer wall of the main burner unit 1 and the flame- forming slot of the burner cap 8. In the meantime, on the combustion by the small burner 6, the gas jetted from the nozzle 5 is jetted from the tip of the small burner 6 mixed with air absorbed from an air slot 7 of the small burner 6, and combustion flame is formed by the flame slot separated from the burner cap 8.
