PURPOSE:To absorb the unevenness in thickness of coating in the widthwise direction by providing a fulcrum between a coater die or a substrate carrying roller and a displacement controlling position, and making the coater die or the roller capable of sliding with the fulcrum as the center. CONSTITUTION:A fulcrum 10 is provided between a coater die 1 or a substrate carrying roller 2 and a couple of displacement controlling positions 5, and the coater die 1 or the substrate carrying roller 2 is made capable of sliding almost vertically with the fulcrum 10 as the center. The unevenness in coating thickness of a viscous body in the widthwise direction of the substrate which is caused by the eccentricity due to the errors in accuracy of the roller 2 and its bearing, etc. is materially absorbed in this way.
