PURPOSE:To simplify extremely a circuit required for arithmetic by storing a required value in a memory in advance in operating an address converting formula attend with a change in a screen angle. CONSTITUTION:Each term of a specific formula to a main scanning/subscanning coordinate system (xn, yn) is calculated in advance corresponding to the screen angle theta, stored in a memory, and when the screen angle theta and the specific xn, yn are given, the value of the said memory is read and (XA, YA) coordinates are obtained by only addition. A subscanning micro pixel pulse W about which yn. DELTAx is calculated and stored in advance in a storage device 22 is counted by a counter 24 similarly and the value becomes xn representing the location of the subscanning direction (or micro pixel number) and is inputted to a storage device 25 from the said counter 24. The value xnDELTA'x is stored in advance in the storage device 25 and an X address XA is obtained by an adder 27. A Y axis address generating circuit 30 is provided with storage devices 32 and 35 storing yn.DELTAY and xn.DELTA'y and an adder 37 adding the outputs from the both so as a obtain the Y address.
