PURPOSE:To obtain a shaped decorative material having excellent external appearance and gloss peculiar to a metal by injecting a mixture of metallic powder and synthetic resin group adhesives into a rotating mold and turning the rotating mold while being heated. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of thermosetting resin group adhesives and metallic powder is encapsulated into a rotating mold, and the rotating mold is turned at fixed speed of 50-1,000r.p.m while being heated. Consequently, metallic powder having large specific gravity collects to the outer circumferential surface side in the rotating mold by centrifugal force, and a resin layer 2 is formed on the inner circumferential surface side and a metallic layer 3 on the outer circumferential surface side in a pipy shaped decorative material 1 obtained after mold release. A resin intrudes into the spaces of the particles of metallic powder and the resin and the particles of metallic powder get intertwined when the shape of the particles of metallic powder is arborescent or porous in a boundary section between the resin layer 2 and the metallic layer 3, thus acquiring the state of firm bonding. Accordingly, the manufactured shaped decorative material 1 displays a metallic gloss peculiar to a metal by polishing an outer surface because metallic powder collects to the outer surface side with high density.
