PURPOSE:To enable a cooling operation to be performed without using any compressor and cause a heating operation to have a rapid heating by a method wherein an air passage having humidity absorbing material therein and a bypass passage which can be changed over are arranged. CONSTITUTION:A bypass passage 11 which is parallel with an air passage having a humidity absorbing material 10 is arranged, these air passages are made to be changeable through a damper 13, a heater 6 is arranged at an upstream of these air passages, an air passage extending to an air blowing port 2 through a humidifying device 15 is arranged at a downstream side of it and an air passage extending directly to the bypass blowing port 5 are arranged side by side, and a blowing change-over damper 20 for use in changing over these air passages is arranged. Therefore, it is possible to operate a cooling operation without using any compressors, a reproduction of the humidity absorbing material is facilitated. Further, in case of performing the heating operation, wet air is not passed through the humidity absorbing material with a high thermal capacity, so that a high speed heating is assured and the unit can be applied for all seasons.
