PURPOSE:To simplify the recording and reproduction of digital signals other than recorded data so as to improve the function of a digital signal recorder and reproducing device, by providing a memory which receives and delivers data between a buffer memory and DMA. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with a command from a system controller SC21, a CPU19 writes a test signal in a memory 31 and holds a corresponding expected value signal. The signal of the memory 31 is transferred to a buffer memory 2. Then the memory 2 is set to a condition where only reading out operations are performed and recording on a magnetic tape is performed. A buffer memory 16, memory 33, and buffer controller 34 at the reproducing side also make similar operations. The reproduced test signal transferred to the memory 33 is fetched into the CPU19 and collated with the expected value signal. By means of the collation, the erroneous condition of a recording and reproducing route is measured and the measured result is displayed on and recorded in the SC21. |
