PURPOSE:To prevent sliding portions from being lubricated insufficiently due to oil foaming, by protrusively providing a disk flange on the peripheral portion of a cylinder block located below the surface of lubricating oil, so that the disk flange is placed in contact with the inside surface of an enclosed container, and by providing oil passages in the disk flange. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral portion of a disk flange 17 protrusively provided on the peripheral portion of the end bearing 6 of a compressor in an enclosed container 1 is placed in contact with the inside surface of the container. Plural holes 17a extend as oil passages through the flange 17. As a result, lubricating oil 14 is divided into an upper and a lower layers by the flange 17 so that even if an oil foaming phenomenon takes place on the surface 14a of the lubricating oil 14 which is in contact with coolant gas, bubbles do not reach the lower layer. For that reason, the lubricating oil supplied to sliding portions is always retained in the enclosed container 1.
