PURPOSE:A gasket composition for fireproof doors, consisting essentially of an inorganic ingredient, powdery rubber and a polyvinyl chloride based resin, and easily extrudable, injectable and calender moldable, etc. CONSTITUTION:A gasket composition for fireproof doors obtainable easily by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride based resin, mainly straight polyvinyl chloride with (B) 30-500pts.wt. powdery rubber, preferably acrylonitrile- butadiene copolymer rubber or chloroprene rubber and (C) >=50pts.wt. inorganic ingredient, preferably antimony trioxide, aluminum hydroxide and calcium carbonate as main components and ethylene-vinyl acetate based resin and tricresyl phosphate, etc. as secondary components to produce a resin compound, and extrusion molding the resultant resin compound. The above-mentioned gasket provides easy fitting work of glass. |
