PURPOSE:To obtain a metallic mold for faithful reproduction and manufacture by forming an inorg. film on the information recording layer of a flat plate-shaped information recording carrier recorded with information on the org. material on the surface of an inorg. mother disk and placing said carrier on the radiation curable resin layer on a substrate by bringing the inorg. film into contact therewith without using a plating stage. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate-shaped information recording layer is formed by using a positive type resist layer 9 on a glass mother disk 8 and an inorg. film 10 consisting of a metal such as Ni, Cr, Fe, Cu, Al, inconel, etc. an oxide such as SiO2, TiO2, In2O3, etc. or nitride such as AlN, Si3N4, etc. is formed to 100-1,000Angstrom thickness on the layer 9 by a vapor deposition, sputtering method, etc. The metallic mold for reproducing the flat plate-shaped information recording carrier obtd. in such a way does not require a plating stage in manufacture; moreover, the disk 8, the resist layer 9 and the inorg. film 10 have light transmittability so that several tens % transmittance or above can be assured over the entire layer. The faithfully reproduced disk is thus made obtainable by placing a UV curable resin 4 on a substrate 5 consisting of opaque Al, etc., superposing the metallic mold thereon in contact with the film 10 side and irradiating light thereto by a light source 6 from the disk 8 side. |
