PURPOSE:To enhance painting efficiency, by mounting a dipping tank, a spray apparatus and a flat brush apparatus on a truck so as to automatically apply a necessary painting method to a required region. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 to be painted is supported in a horizontal direction and slowly rotated around the axis thereof. After a truck 13 is run and the position thereof is determined, a dipping tank 36 is positioned under a flange 5 and raised to immerse the lower end position part of the flange 5 in a paint 37 and a bolt hole 6 is dipped in said paint 37. At the same time, a spray nozzle 22 is inserted into a receiving mouth 2 to perform painting. Next, the tank 36 is fallen while the spray nozzle 22 is taken out of the pipe 1 and an arm 29 is brought to a vertical direction to place a flat brush 30 on a paint tank 32 while a roller 33 is acted to contain a definite amount of the paint in the flat brush. Thereafter, the arm 29 is swung at a proper angle to paint the deep end surface 9 of the socket and the paint of the end surface 8 of the socket is smoothened.
