PURPOSE:To prevent seizure of a pipe and a roller by setting a roller of a range which contacts the end part of the pipe, as a non-driving roller, when a pipe which a mandrel bar passes through is carried to a prescribed position by a carrying roller and stopped. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 2 which becomes a product and a mandrel bar 1 whose end part is projected to the outside of the pipe 2 by passing through the pipe 2 are carried by a carrying roller 3 of a roller train 8 from the delivery of a rolling mill 4, and when an end part (c) of the pipe 2 moves to a prescribed distance (x) from the rolling mill 4, the carrying roller 3 reduces the speed and stops. In this case, when the carrying roller 3 of the roller train 10 is set as a non-driving roller 3' in advance, the non-driving roller 3' rotates by following the movement of the end of the pipe 2 of a high load, when the mandrel bar 1 and the pipe 2 reduce the speed and stop, a slide between the pipe 2 and the non-driving roller 3' is made nearly nil, and the seizure is prevented, and therefore, the pipe 2 is not flawed. |
