PURPOSE:To detect the flow rate of fluid correctly by using the throttle valve of an internal-combustion engine even for the air flow meter, and detecting and processing suction air pressure before and behind it, the temperature of the fluid etc. CONSTITUTION:The air fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture supplied to a combustion chamber 14 needs to be controlled properly and the flow rate of air taken in from an intake manifold 10 through a throttle valve 11 should be measured correctly for the purpose. The flow rate Ga of the air passed through the throttle valve 11 is expressed by an equation I . In the equation, Cd is a counted flow rate, A(thetath) is the opening area (m<2>) of the throttle valve 11, and (s) is a pressure coefficient determined by the pressure ratio across the throttle valve 11; and Pa is the air pressure (kg/cm<2>) before the throttle valve 11 and Ta is intake air temperature ( deg.K) before the throttle valve. The intake Ga of the air is calculated from parameters of pressure before and behind the throttle valve 11, opening area A(thetath), intake air temperature Ta before the throttle valve 11, etc. |
