PURPOSE:To prevent the discontinuation of working of a ROM in its fault mode by reading a microprogram out of the ROM and then written in a rise mode and then reading the microprogram out of an external memory and then written in case a fault of the ROM is detected. CONSTITUTION:A microprogram which is written to a read/write enable control memory 1 within an information processor is stored to an external memory 2 as well as to a ROM3. Then an error can be detected by a detection circuit 4 when the microprogram is read out of the ROM3. When the circuit 4 detects no error, the microprogram is read out of the ROM3 and then written to the memory 1. While the microprogram is read out of the memory 2 and then written to the memory 1 when the circuit 4 detects an error.
