PURPOSE:The titled composition for providing a film usuful as a protecting film of a product, removable with an alkali, obtained by copolymerizing a monoethylenic unsaturated fatty acid with a specific hydrophilic monomer in an aqueous solvent, dispersing it into water. CONSTITUTION:(A) 3-15pts.wt. one or more alpha,beta-monoethylenic unsaturated acids is copolymerized with (B) 100pts.wt. polymerizable vinyl monomer containing one polymerizable unsaturated bond in the molecule, having polyoxyethylene chain having 1,500-15,000 average molecular weight, containing 1-15pts.wt. hydrophilic monomer having a terminal group consisting of H, or 1-4C alkyl group in (C) an aqueous organic solvent. The prepared vinyl copolymer is dispersed into water, to give the desired composition comprising a vinyl copolymer aqueous dispersion as an essential component.
