PURPOSE:To make the amplitude constant at frequency changeover of a horizontal deflection current without using any boost means by connecting plural parallel resonance circuits in cascade, and connecting an amplitude control circuit varying a DC voltage and an equivalent capacitance to a trace capacitance to make a horizontal deflection circuit and a high voltage circuit in one body. CONSTITUTION:A sawtooth wave current Iyp-p flows to coils LY, L in the 1st and 2nd parallel resonance circuits. When a power supply voltage Vcc is kept constant in the switching of a horizontal deflection frequency and the ratio tH/tRAC of the horizontal deflection period tH to the retrace period tRAC is constant, a horizontal output pulse voltage VCP and a high voltage output HV are made respectively constant. Further, a current of the deflection coil LY is Iyp- p1=(Vcc-Vs2)ts/LY and when the horizontal deflection frequency is switched from 15.75kHz to 19kHz, since the trace period ts(=tH-tRAC) is small, the amplitude Iyp-p1 of the horizontal deflection current is made constant independently of the switching of the horizontal deflection frequency by chaning the voltage Vs2 of the trace capacity Cs2, and increasing (Vcc-Vs2) in proportion to the changed amount.
