PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device by constituting the device that the next erasure and recording cycle is allowed only when an operation command signal exists. CONSTITUTION:When a series recording command switch 31 is turned off, a changeover switch 26 is switched at each field, erasure gaps E1, E2 are active alternately, a changeover switch 20 is switched at each field, recording/reproducing gaps R/W-1, R/W-2 are active alternately and the erasure/recording is conducted at each frame. When the switch 31 is turned on, the erasure/recording cycle is repeated in preceding over the erasure operation while the operation command switch 29 is turned on and finished when the operation command switch 29 is turned off and the recording content of the last cycle is left.
