PURPOSE:To perform feeding operation of dispersing medium in a wet type sieve classifier automatically by receiving signal from detecting means of upper limit and lower limit liquid levels which are provided to a vessel upper than a sieve vessel of the highest step and controlling the actuation of a feeding apparatus of the dispersing medium thereby. CONSTITUTION:When a sample and a dispersing medium are charged to a sample introducing hopper 7 to start classifying operation and the liquid level of a dispersing medium is lowered and a float 25 is reached to a lower limit level set position, the light from a light source 29 is interrupted by the float 25 and unreached to a photoelectric detector 30 and a feed liquid injection pump 34 is actuated with a controlling device 31. The dispersing medium previously stored in a dispersion medium housing pot 32 is injected to the sample hopper 7 through a pipeline 33. When the float 25 is reached to the upper limit level set position, the light from a light source 27 is interrupted by the float 25 and unreached a photoelectric detector 28 and said pump 34 is stopped by the controlling device 31 and the injection of said dispersing medium is stopped thereby.
