PURPOSE:To provide an aromatic amine-based curing agent capable of giving cured products of high flexibility along with outstanding heat resistance, strength and rigidity, comprising specific diol-di-p-aminobenzoate. CONSTITUTION:The objective curing agent comprising a diol-di-p-aminobenzoate of formula (X is residue of 4-10C alkylene glycol or 6-14C alicyclic diol) (e.g. 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol-di-p-aminobenzoate). In practical applications, this agent is incorporated in an epoxy resin in such an amount as to be pref. 0.8- 1.2 active hydrogen equivalent per equivalent of the epoxy resin followed by, normally, heating to effect curing.
