PURPOSE:To prevent an exposed surface from being exposed to light from an optical system unnecessarily by providing the 1st and the 2nd mirrors and a reflection type focal plate, and switching photographic and finder optical paths through the switching of the 2nd mirror. CONSTITUTION:The optical system of a camera body 5 is provided with the 1st mirrors 11 and 12, reflection type focal plate 13, etc. When the shutter is released, the shutter in the open state is closed, and the 2nd mirror 12 is switched to the photographic position to expose a film 2 to the image light through photographic optical paths (a), (b), and (c). Then, the 2nd mirror 12 is switched to the finder position and then returns to its initial state after the shutter is opened. Consequently, the 2nd mirror 12 moves to the stand-by position and the shutter is opened during observation; and the 2nd mirror 12 moves to the photogaphic position and the shutter is closed during photography. Thus, the exposed surface is prevented from being exposed to the light from the optical system unnecessarily.
