PURPOSE:To enable recording of additional information to paper with the image as good in quality as an original by disposing obliquely a solid display piece to an illuminating lamp side. CONSTITUTION:An LCD20 is attached to the terminal on one side of original glass 1 with inclination toward an illuminating lamp 3 at angle theta with respect to the glass plane. The angle theta is so set that the reflected light of the LCD20 is made incident on an optical path 1 for incidence to the lens of an optical system at the same or about the same quantity of light as the quantity of the light reflected from the original in said optical path. The quantity of the reflected light of the LCD20 condensed on the lens in the stage of copying the original is approximately the same as the quantity of the light reflected from the original and therefore the substantial amt. of the reflected light is conducted from the LCD20 to an original image forming system consisting of the 1st mirror 4, the 2nd mirror 5, the 3rd mirror 6, a lans 7 and the 4th mirror 8. The display content of the LCD20 is thus exposed with good quality on a photosensitive drum 12 and the satisfactory recording condition is obtd.
