PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a power source environmental tester by generating a fundamental wave signal and a square wave signal synchronizing it to yield a simulated distortion voltage through a semiconductor switch or the like controlled in the switching phase and the switching interval. CONSTITUTION:A sine wave signal V is generated from a fundamental wave generation circuit 5 while a square wave signal P synchronizing the signal V is generated from a polarity discrimination circuit 10. Then, each time the signal V passes the zero point, a pulse W is outputted from a one-shot multivibrator 11 to trigger a one-shot multivibrator 12. The switching phase and the switching interval of semiconductor switches 13-a and 13-b depending on the turning ON and OFF are controlled by a distortion range control pulse M from the multivibrator 12 and the sine wave signals V1 cleared of a distorted pulse P1 and a distorted part are fed to an arithmetic amplification circuit 7 separately to make a simulated distortion test voltage Vn necessary for environmental test without the use of any harmonic generation circuit or the like. Thus, the construction of the power source environmental tester can be simplified.
