PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a control system for search function and also to attain a satisfactory searching action, by adding newly the time sectioning information to the search function. CONSTITUTION:When a new disk is loaded, a control circuit 201 gives command to a disk motor 204, a pickup feed motor 205 and a servo circuit 209 respectively via an external control circuit 203 and reproduces the TOC data on a disk 206. When a searching action is designated, the time sectioning information is fetched newly as a standard to know the position of a desired address when a pickup 207 is moved up to the desired address. Then the address of a time section (block) where both the desired and present adresses exist is stored to an RAM213 via an RF detecting circuit 211, a demodulator circuit 210, an address detecting circuit 211 and the control circuit 201. The circuit 201 reads out the present address and compares it with each block address and moves the pickup 207 every block up to the desired address. As a result, the capacity of a control system can be reduced. |
