PURPOSE:To secure the real time property and to perform the preferential transmission without influences of the number of nodes and the frequency in generation of data in each node by providing a preferential free token. CONSTITUTION:A node D which requests the preferential transmission adds a bit pattern indicating an access field AC to an end flag FE of data from a node A. If this bit pattern is added to data of the node A which is circulated once on a transmission line, the node A regards the next transmitted token as a preferential free token PFT. Consequently, codes B and C cannot perform data transmission, and the token PFT reaches the node D through nodes B and C. When taking in this token, the node D substitutes it with a busy token BT to perform the preferential transmission. |
