PURPOSE:To shorten the access time of a direct access device by detecting frequencies of use of files and performing such file control that the files are rearranged in addresses which do not require any access time in the decreasing order of the frequencies of use. CONSTITUTION:When system operation is started, a data control part 2 increases the frequency of access to a file 31 of the direct access device 3 which is stored in a file control table 21 by one every time the file 31 is used. Then, the counting is stopped a specific time later and when the frequency of access exceeds a necessary number (n), an objective section mark * is registered in the corresponding file. The data control part 2 checks whether there is the objective section mark * in the control table 21 a necessary time later and performs the rearrangement in the file storage of the direct access device 3 when there is the mark *. Namely, the file given the mark * in the objective section is arranged closely to a table of volume contents. |
