PURPOSE:To display a picture having the high contrast and sharpness and no blurring by removing scattering line components from X-ray components made incident on a detector with the aid of a shielding device. CONSTITUTION:When a shielding device 15 is located in an X-ray incident field so as to irradiate an X-ray FB, X-ray shielding data detected by a detector 13 is taken out, converted into a digital signal by an A/D convertor 16 and stored in a 1st memory part 17. After the device 15 is shifted in the direction of an arrow 15a, a subject 12 is irradiated with the X-ray FB. Then original picture data detected by the detector 13 is stored in a 2nd memory part 18 through the convertor 16. The subtraction of the X-ray shielding data from the memory part 17 and the original picture data read out from the memory part 18 is performed in a 1st arithmetic part 19, and its output is made binary in a 2nd arithmetic part 20. An arithmetic/control part 21 calculates scattering line data, and its output is calculated 22, whereby scattering intensity data can be obtained. Said intensity data is subtracted from the original picture data of the arithmetic part 19, and picture data consisting of only direct picture data is displayed 24.
