摘要 |
PURPOSE:To improve the developing action of a liquid sample spotted on the top surface of an analysis element by arranging a hydrophilic cellulose derivative and a nonionic surfactant with the HLB value of over 10 to be contained in a porous developing layer. CONSTITUTION:This integral multi-layer analysis element is made up of a water permeating reagent layer containing a reagent which reacts with components in a liquid sample such as urine and a porous developing layer comprising a woven product or a knitted product laminated in the order on a light transmitting and non-water permeating support 80-300mum thick comprising a polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate. Then, said developing layer contains a water-soluble cellulose ether such as methyl cellulose at the rate of 0.7-10g per 1m<2> of the developing layer and a nonionic surfactant with the HLB value of over 10 such as polyvalent alcohol ester ethylene oxide at the rate of 0.2-2g per 1m<2> of the layer. With such as arrangement, the developing area of the liquid sample can be controlled in a wide range.
