PURPOSE:To confirm securely that a formed article does not remain in a metal mould by arranging a sensor corresponding to a metal mould and comparing the measured value of brightness obtained from the sensor with a previously measured value. CONSTITUTION:An injection moulding machine 1 has a metal mould divided into two parts, a fixed mould 2 and a movable would 3. A television camera 9 is arranged to take the pictures of the inside of the movable mould 3 when the movable mould 3 is at a prescribed position and watches the state of the movable mould 3. Signals from the television camera 9 are stored in memory as the brightness of the inside of the movable mould 3. By comparing the measured brightness with the brightness after the previous injection moulding, it is detected if a formed article remains in the movable mould 3 or not. |
