ALUMINUM ALLOY HAVING SUPERIOR PITTING CORROSION RESISTANCE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy having superior pitting corrosion resistance in a corrosive environment contg. water by adding specified amounts of Zn and Mn to Al or further adding Mg. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy having superior pitting corrosion resistance in a corrosive environment contg. water is obtd. by adding 0.1-1.0wt% Zn and 0.05- 0.3wt% Mn to Al or further adding 0.2-2.5wt% Mg. The amount of Mn added is regulated in relation to the amount of Fe contained in the Al alloy as an impurity so as to satisfy Mn/Fe>=1.5.
