PURPOSE:To load fresh water in a tanker through a piping for exclusive use without using a loading installation mounted to the tanker, by a method wherein, in a loading place, the fresh water is loaded from a fresh water storage tank, installed located in a level higher than that of the tanker, through utilization of a head. CONSTITUTION:In a loading place, fresh water is loaded in a tanker 4 from a fresh water storage tank, located in a level higher than that of the tanker 4, through a piping 2 for exclusive use through utilization of a head. In an unloading place, fresh water is unloaded in a fresh water storage tank, located in a level lower than that of the tanker 4, through a piping 6 for exclusive use through utilization of a head. When the fresh water is carried by the use to the tank 4, the fresh water is loaded and unloaded without using a loading and unloading installation mounted to the tanker, and this enables prevention of mixture of the fresh water with an oil content adhered to an oil loading and unloading installation and pipings.
