PURPOSE:To shorten an inspection time by connecting connectors at both ends of the wire harness to an input and an output connector, retrieving a defective position, and storing information on the defective position in a memory circuit and also storing it. CONSTITUTION:The connectors 3 and 4 of the wire harness 2 are connected to the output connector 5 and input connector 6 and when a start switch 9 is pressed, retrieval for judging whether respective cores of the wire harness 2 are connected to connector pins at both ends normally or not is started and information on a defect in connection, e.g. wire breaking, wrong wiring, and short- circuiting is stored in a memory RAM. The defective information stored in the memory RAM is displayed on an output-side display device 13 and an output- side display device 14 with a step switch 12.
