PURPOSE:The titled metallic foil which is made by coating a metallic foil with a photosetting adhesive mainly consisting of an epoxy resin, a photocuring catalyst and a thermally activable curing agent and irradiating with ultraviolet rays, thus showing high productivity, safety and operability in manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:A photosetting adhesive is prepared by using (A) an epoxy resin such as epoxidized novolak resin, (B) a photosetting catalyst such as a silicon compound forming silanol by irradiating ultraviolet rays, (C) a thermally activable curing agent such as dicyandiamide or catalyst such as imidazole, when necessary, (D) a flame retarder and fillers. A metallic foil is coated with the resultant photosetting adhesive, the coated surface is irradiated with ultraviolet rays such as with low-pressure mercury lamps to give the objective metallic foil coated with an adhesive.
