PURPOSE:The titled polymer having a specified range of reduced viscosity and being excellent in weather resistance, heat distortion resistance, discoloration resistance, processability, etc., obtained by suspension-copolymerizing methyl methacrylate with other vinyl monomers copolymerizable therewith. CONSTITUTION:75wt% or above methyl methacrylate is suspension-(co)polymerized with, optionally, 0-25wt% other vinyl monomers copolymerizable therewith (e.g., methyl acrylate) in the presence of a polymerization initiator and a suspending agent to obtain the titled polymer of a reduced viscosity of 0.01- 0.15l/g (in 1g/l: CHCl3 at 25 deg.C), 50-100pts.wt. this polymer is mixed with 90- 50pts.wt. other general-purpose thermoplastic resins (e.g., PVC) to obtain a polymer alloy fully exhibiting the characteristics of the both.
