PURPOSE:To obtain a calibrator sufficiently satisfying the sensitivity calibrating condition of an AC spark tester prescribed in a BS standard, by attaching the needle electrode in a high voltage side to the leading end of the spindle of a micrometer. CONSTITUTION:The needle electrode 2 in a high voltage side is attached to the leading end of the spindle 1' of a micrometer 1 by a needle electrode fixing head 3 and the high voltage lead wire 4 connected to the high voltage side of a spark tester to be calibrated is attached to the body of the micrometer 1. Further, as the electrodes in an earthing side, the metal plate electrode 6 and an earthing lead wire 7 opposed to the electrode 2 are attached to the peripheral edge of a rotary disc 5. The micrometer 1 can freely adjust the discharge gap between the electrodes 2, 6. The disc 5 receives rotary driving by a motor and allows the electrodes 2, 6 to intersect intermittently. The rotary speed of the disc 5 can be freely adjusted and the intersecting time of both electrodes 2, 6 can be confirmed by a speedometer 14.
