PURPOSE:To permit sure stripping regardless of the rigidity and weight of a recording medium by detecting the relative quantity corresponding to the rigidity or weight of the recording medium and changing the stripping conditions of a stripping part according to the result of the detection. CONSTITUTION:The paper P guided by a guide 31 is fed to a transfer part 22 between a photosensitive drum 11 and an electrifier 23 for transfer and the image on the drum 11 is transferred to the surface of the paper P by the effect of the electrifier 23. A deformation detecting circuit 41 supplies the deformation corresponding to the detection signal to a control circuit 42 when the detection signal is supplied from a detector 32 to the circuit 41. The paper P on which the image is transferred is stripped electrostatically by the effect of the electrifying voltage of an electrifier 24 for stripping corresponding to the rigidity and weight of the paper P. The paper P is then conveyed in a paper conveying path 25 to heat rollers 26 where the image is fixed. The paper is discharged by discharge rollers 27 onto a tray 28. |
