PURPOSE:To move a cursor smoothly by comparing the count output of pulses generated when the coordinate displacement input device is displaced with the state of a switch for setting the unit movement distance of the cursor, and generating an output only when they coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:Switches S100 and S101 are opened and closed by the displacement detection part of the device according to the movement of the device. A counter 410 counts a signal Xa and outputs a binary number. The unit movement distance of the cursor is set with S400 and S401 A signal outputted according to the ON-OFF states of the S400 and S401 is inputted to a comparator 420, and compared with the output of the counter 410 and the signal Xa is outputted when their coincidence is obtained to clear the counter. Assuming the unit movement distance of the cursor on a display device is 3 when the 400 is OFF and S401 is OFF, the unit movement distance is 2 when the S400 is ON and the S401 is ON, and 4 when the S400 is OFF and the S401 is ON. Thus, the cursor is moved smoothly.
