PURPOSE:To shorten a hydraulic pressure passage to enhance the responsiveness of a hydraulic control device, by obtaining the attaching position of a valve for controlling the operation of a planetary gear type auxiliary speed change unit fitted onto the output shaft of a belt type stepless speed change gear unit, on a speed change gear casing in the vicinity of the planetary gear type auxiliary speed change device. CONSTITUTION:A speed change gear unit is composed of a belt type stepless speed change gear unit and a planetary gear type auxiliary speed change gear unit provided in a row of the output shaft of the belt type stepless speed change gear unit. This planetary gear type auxiliary speed change gear unit is composed on planetary gears, a brake and a clutch, and a hydraulic valve is required to operate the brake. This hydraulic valve is attached to the top surface of a body casing in the vicinity of a position A where the auxiliary speed change gear unit is positioned, and are surrounded therearound by a valve cover 30. Accordingly, the space between the hydraulic valve and the auxiliary speed change unit is made short so that the length of a hydraulic pressure passage may be made short, thereby it is possible to enhance the operational responsiveness.
