Novel type of flat solar collector whose absorbtion unit is formed by two metal sheets, or by composites or by thermostable plastics, gives by its design and operation temperature differences between the water output of the collectors and the return water of the central heating radiators, allowing a large proportion of the fossile fuel energy to be profitably replaced by solar energy. <IMAGE>
