The cover seals an opening in a component, particularly car bodywork. It has a body of sealing material round a baseplate, and several spring inserts engaging behind the opening. Each insert (4) has a ball head (7) where it engages in the opening (5). The head can be integral with the insert, and it can be open at the end, joining onto a hook-type surface (8). It can be joined onto a foot emanating from the baseplate.
