The subject of the invention is a vacuum cleaner making it possible to carry out this household task without causing backache. The suction is performed, on the one hand, by virtue of a horizontal telescopic tube which can be retracted into a casing 2, and on the other hand by virtue of a vertical tube 3 on which the user can lean as if using a walking-stick.
