PURPOSE:To detect the length of crack automatically by moving an image sensor in the direction of elongation of a crack and counting the number of detecting cell giving a signal of detection of a crack. CONSTITUTION:Positioning tables 1, 2, 3 moves a line sensor 4 in transverse, vertical and lingitudinal directions. The line sensor 5 attached to the positioning table 2 is provided with a light source 5, an illuminator 6, an objective 7 and a viewing finder 8 etc. A small computer 9 makes reading of image signal of the line sensor 4 and command to a table controller 11 that controls positioning tables 1-3 through an interface 10. The line sensor 4 is disposed to intersect the direction of elongation of the crack on the surface of an object to be measured. This is moved in the direction of elongation of the crack, and the number of detecting cell giving signal of detcection of crack is counted at each position of movement. |
