摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain polymer particles of a narrow particle diameter distribution which can be produced by a simple industrial reaction process in good reproducibility of quality, by polymerizing a specified vinyl monomer in the presence of a polymeric dispersant in a hydrophilic organic liquid. CONSTITUTION:To a hydrophilic organic liquid is added 0.1-10wt% polymeric dispersant soluble in this liquid. To this mixture is added at most 20pts.wt., per pt.wt. polymeric dispersant, vinyl monomer which is soluble in the organic liquid but forms a polymer swellable with or hardly soluble in the organic liquid and polymerized. In this way, the purpose polymer particles having an average particle of 1-100mu and such a controlled particle diameter distribution that at least 95wt% of the particles fall within the average + or -25%. It is possible to control the average particle diameter and particle diameter distribution of the formed polymer, drying conditions, etc., by changing the kind or composition of the solvent mixture at the start of polymerization, during the course of polymerization or at the end of polymerization.
