PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian alarm system to ensure a safe drive even at a vistaless intersection or at a vistaless pedestrian crossing by securely informing a driver of the approach of a pedestrian in such locations. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with an active data carrier 10 fitted to an article that a pedestrian normally carries, an on-vehicle radio reader 20 which receives approach information from the active data carrier 10, and a signal 9 which receives approach information from the active type data carrier 10; and the on-vehicle radio reader 20 receives the approach information of the active type data carrier 10 to indicate the approach of pedestrians 5 and 7 and very the illumination time of the signal 9. |
