PURPOSE:To use effectively all disk surfaces and to employ high capacity by using the surface of a central position in a direction of the height of the layered disks as a servo surface and an opposite surface as a data surface. CONSTITUTION:In layered plural magnetic disks 10 having a spindle 11 as a rotating axis, the lower surface of the third disk from a top is assumed as a servo surface 10b for positioning a magnetic head. A servo arm for holding a servo head 9 landing the servo surface 10b and a data arm 6a for holding a data head 8a landing a data surface 10a are formed in one body with a magnetic head positioning mechanism comprising an arm supporter 5, carriage supporter 1, magnet of a carriage driving voice coil motor and a coil or the like. When the servo head 9 moves to a track according to a servo information of the servo surface 10b, a data servo group is positioned at a predetermined track. |
